What an affiliate link is
An affiliate link is a tracked link to a store, such as Amazon. If you buy something after clicking one, the store pays me a small percentage of the sale. Some programs instead pay a flat fee when someone starts certain free trials or memberships, such as Kindle Unlimited or Audible. Either way, you pay exactly the same price.
Programs I work with
- Amazon Associates. Feral Bookworm participates in the Amazon Associates Program, run by Amazon.com Services LLC, which lets websites earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com.
- Other stores. I may join other affiliate programs, such as Etsy’s or Bookshop.org’s. I’ll add each one to this list when I do.
Do commissions change what I recommend?
No. A product earns its place in a guide by solving a real reading problem: a neck that complains by chapter ten, hands that get tired, a light that keeps your partner awake, a corner that needs to feel cozier. If something isn’t worth buying, I’ll say so, even when that means I earn nothing.
When I’ve used a product myself, I’ll tell you. When I haven’t, I’ll tell you that too, along with why it made the list.
I don’t show Amazon prices on this site because they change constantly. Always check the current price and details on the store’s page before you buy.
Free products and sponsored posts
If a brand ever sends me something for free or pays for a post, I’ll say so clearly at the top of that post. Neither one buys a good review.
