Feral Bookworm is for readers who go a little feral over a good book. You know the type: one more chapter at 1 a.m., the Kindle balanced above your face, dinner forgotten somewhere around the plot twist.
This site is about making that reading life more comfortable. You’ll find e-reader gear that earns its place, setups for reading in bed, small reading corners that fit real homes, and gifts for the reader in your life, even if that reader is you.
What you’ll find here
- E-reader gear: cases, page-turner remotes, grips, lights and stands, and which ones are worth your money.
- Reading-in-bed setups: pillows, book holders and lighting for sitting up, lying back or curling up on your side.
- Small reading nooks: cozy corners at real budgets, with complete shopping lists.
- Reader gifts: ideas sorted by budget, for Kindle readers and paperback loyalists alike.
- Reading subscriptions: honest math on Kindle Unlimited, Audible and the free option, your library card.
How I choose what to recommend
- I tell you what I’ve actually used. If I’ve tested something myself, I’ll say so. If I haven’t, I’ll say that too, and explain why it still made the list.
- Every guide names a skip. Not everything is worth buying, and I’d rather save you the money than pad a list.
- Real setups, real photos. I use my own photos wherever I can, and anything that isn’t a photo of a real setup is labeled.
- Commissions never pick the winners. Some links earn me a small commission, which keeps this site free to read. It never decides what I recommend. The details are on the Disclosure page.
Who’s behind this
Hi, I’m Mandy. I read a lot, mostly romance and mostly on a Kindle, and I care more than is strictly reasonable about a good reading setup. Feral Bookworm is where I share what makes long reading sessions more comfortable, so you can spend less time fidgeting and more time finding out what happens next.
